Hello, everyone!
I've been putting off writing this piece for a long time because I wasn't sure where to start or what to say, and every time I tried to write something down, I would feel like it wasn't good enough.
I've looked through a lot of the profiles on the site; it's incredible to see how many extremely creative people make up this community, and it's almost overwhelming.
the first time to do a thing is always exciting - Agatha Christie
As a budding writer, I'm new to this genre of writing, so I conducted some research on how to create a tech-related blog article and would love to share some ideas with you if you'd let me.
Like any other form of writing, the goal is to make the intended information as concise as possible. This is to enable the readers irrespective of their attention span, to grasp the whole idea of the article without much stress.
Through my research, I've come up with a few ideas that I believe would be useful to those like me who are passionate about sharing their thoughts and experiences on topics related to this industry. Some of the points to note are;
Write about what you know.
Conduct additional research
Organize your thoughts and research
Write it
Get feedback and repeat.
Let's see what these points are about.
1. Write about what you know
Often, the reason for a block is that we don't have fully developed ideas. Finding a decent topic that you are familiar with and committing to it is the simplest way to overcome this difficulty. To put it another way, write about something you have in-depth knowledge of and can explain in a few minutes.
However, there is always the worry that there is already a lot of information written on the topic you've picked, and of course, there is!ππ
There is nothing new under the sun.
But don't let that discourage you as you can always give your interpretation of the chosen topic or make it unique to your situation.
Also, having concerns that your chosen topic might not be interesting enough or that your target audience might not find it very engaging is normal because even if you know a lot about a subject, it's possible that writing about it will bore you.
This is why it's critical to interpret your chosen topic in your tone and to make it unique to your situation so that your target audience that doesn't know as much about the subject as you do can relate to your writing.
In a general sense, there is no telling which topics will make fantastic posts and which will not. The secret, in my opinion, is in the delivery, and this has very little to do with how catchy the topic is. My recommendation would be to experiment with writing about a variety of things you're familiar with to see what works.
2. Conduct additional research
Now that you've found a topic that you're both comfortable with and well-versed in, it's time to get started. The next stage is to learn more about the topic by reading up on it and sourcing relevant materials. This will help you establish additional facts and expand your knowledge base on the subject.
Remember that the aim is to provide concise information. Hence, while you may be familiar with the topic phrase, it is also critical to study and learn more about it. So, doing some more research and reading won't hurt. Literally ππ.
3. Organize your thoughts and research
After you've gathered all of the material you'll need for your blog post, you'll need to organize it by creating and using an outline. It's not enough to just start writing; you also need to think about what goals you want to achieve with your post, as well as what dialogues you want to spark and what ideas you want to share because the best way to create awareness about something is to write about it.
A good outline will not only help you understand how to structure your piece, but it would also help you understand how to use the right content to reach your target audience. It is important to note that a simple structure is the most direct way to communicate to your readers.
4. Write It
As I previously said, a good write-up has less to do with the amazing caption and more to do with the art of delivery. Based on the structure you've already established, your paper should have an introduction, body, and conclusion. This will help you figure out what information you want to express and how to organize your views to achieve that goal.
The first or second paragraph of your work should normally make up your introduction. They are most likely the most crucial element of your article because they will either persuade the reader to continue reading or to abandon it.
To help people understand where your work fits into the overall picture, please start with some perspectives. Then, explain what the audience will get from reading your post.
Now that the readers know what to expect based on the information in the introduction, jump right into the article's primary subject and explain it thoroughly. Remember to categorize and break down your points as much as possible with illustrations and bullet points.
At the end of the article (conclusion), make sure you give the audience a concise summation, a commendation for reading to the end, and perhaps something next to look forward to from you. Make the closing comment as friendly as possible.
In all of these, don't forget to put into consideration the paragraphing, punctuation, and grammar because the delivery has to be neatπ. Also, there are many alternative methods to arrange your post, but the main goal is to convey the required information clearly and concisely.
5. Get feedback and repeat
This is rather straightforward. If you don't put your work out there, you'll never know what your best work is. Although the reviews may not always be as hoped, you will at least know what to do and how to change as a result of the candid criticism.
Donβt get discouraged & discard the efforts, every repetition makes us better. If you keep repeating something with determination, you will learn the process eventually, even the reason why it isnβt working for you.β β Shahenshah Hafeez Khan
## Conclusion
Look at who made it to the end! πππ
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
If there's one thing I want you to take away from this article, it's that if you put in the effort, you can write a great blog post. It is that simple or maybe not but passion led you here so it should sufficeππ .
PS; Let me know how helpful this was and if you would like me to write more on this. Also, your constructive feedback would mean a lot ππ.
